serving the world

Serving the world is not just a nice thing to do, as followers of Jesus we are commanded to do so! At Hope Church serving is core to our mission and a part of our culture.

We call it "GLO" which simply means Global and Local Outreach.

Below are some ways we are serving the world both globally and locally.

global partnerships

Youth for Christ, Croatia

The team from Youth for Christ in Croatia is special to Hope Church.  They are the longest global partnership we have dating all the way back to the mid 1990's.  They do an incredible work in Croatia serving in a variety of ways.  Their efforts in peacemaking, training leadership, and bringing the gospel in creative ways has brought thousands to Christ. Here is their latest video update!

Poverty Resolutions

Poverty Resolutions is Hope's newest missional partner.  The mission of PR is to combat spiritual, economic, and familial poverty by providing hope to the people of Haiti. This is done through a variety of ways including financial gifts and mission trips. Find out more at povertyresolutions.org.

Causely

Each month, Hope Church partners with an organization called Causely.  Their "Reach" program presents a new cause each month that churches and other organizations can partner with.  The vehicle is Facebook.  When someone from Hope church "checks in" on Facebook, not only are we supporting our own church, we are supporting these great charities.  There's a new charity each month!  So Check In and Do Good!

This month's "Reach" partner: Compassion International

Operation Christmas Child (Samaritans Purse)

Each Christmas season, Hope Church teams up with Samaritans Purse to offer opportunities for people to pack shoeboxes full of gifts and hygiene items to children in need all over the globe.  It's a great way for families to serve together and do something tangible.

We're getting ready for our 2018 collection.  Stay posted here.

local partnerships

East Hampton Food Bank

Hope Church partners with the food Bank on a regular basis in significant ways.   Actually, we wanted something as specific as possible and so we have taken on the challenge of exclusively providing SOUP and JELLY to the food bank - the two most used foods given out to the community!

Additionally, as a part of our "Christmas of Hope" campaign, we partner with the food bank to provide winter clothing and toys specific to local children who  have specific needs.

St. Vincent's DePaul (Middletown)

Hope Church partners with St. Vincent's DePaul in nearby Middletown, CT.  Specifically, we have committed to providing at least 300 bagged lunches every month for the homeless people it ministers to. Every third Sunday of the month, after our main Sunday service, our church attenders have the opportunity to pack these lunches with their families.

Sign up to pack lunches!

Lydia's Closet

Lydia's Closet is currently closed until further notice and is not accepting donations at this time.

TAKE OUR "ONE DOLLAR A DAY" CHALLENGE!

We challenge you to set aside one dollar a day to give towards these local and global needs. We collect a special offering on the last Sunday of every month and 100% of the funds you designate go out to our partners in our community and around the world. Or you can give to GLO right now simply by clicking on the link below
