Lydia’s Closet, an integral ministry within Hope Church, has served East Hampton and the surrounding area for 25 years. Throughout the year, this special ministry takes care in collecting donated, gently used clothing and household items, then cleans and prepares these items for distribution back into our community. On the first and third Saturdays of each month, people from surrounding communities visit Lydia’s Closet to shop for items they are in need of. All items are provided for people to take home free of charge. Lydia’s Closet is supported by the generosity of your donations and hundreds of volunteer hours donated each year by those that collect and prepare items and staff this ministry. Lydia’s Closet is living out the mission of Hope Church by loving people and serving the world right here in our own back yard.
If you would like to donate items and/or assist with this ministry, please contact Barbara Hallberg at 860.692.8606.

East Hampton Food Bank
Hope Church partners with the food Bank on a regular basis in significant ways. Actually, we wanted something as specific as possible and so we have taken on the challenge of exclusively providing SOUP and JELLY to the food bank - the two most used foods given out to the community!
Additionally, as a part of our "Christmas of Hope" campaign, we partner with the food bank to provide winter clothing and toys specific to local children who have specific needs.
St. Vincent's DePaul (Middletown)
Hope Church partners with St. Vincent's DePaul in nearby Middletown, CT. Specifically, we have committed to providing at least 300 bagged lunches every month for the homeless people it ministers to. Every third Sunday of the month, after our main Sunday service, our church attenders have the opportunity to pack these lunches with their families.
